New Honda Accord Now Available

The Honda Accord has a reputation that precedes itself, in terms of both resale value and safety. As such, Honda Marysville is not entirely surprised the new 2012 Accord earned a perfect, five-star rating from the NHTSA. Though, we are very pleased. Especially because it represents just one of the many accolades the sedan has managed to secure in its short time on the road... Car and Driver has named it on their "10 Best" list. It has also earned a 2011 Initial Quality Award from the esteemed market analysts at J.D. Power and Associates.

So, what's new…

Revealing the Honda C-Z Mugen

The new Honda CR-Z Mungen concept project has been underway for some time, getting prepped for its big reveal at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

This supercharged version of CR-Z is a collaboration of Honda UK and in-house tuning shop Mugen Euro. The team combines a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine with a supercharger and Honda's IMA system. Exact power output of the supercharged hybrid engine is still unknown, but rumors have suggested a 0 - 60 mph time around that of the Honda Civic Type R, another enhanced Honda coupe. Honda Offers Future Lineup Insight

Motor Trend magazine recently hosted a very intriguing interview with the head of R&D at Honda, Kotaro Shige. And, you can push your visual of a stoic 'suite' out of your mind. According the Motor Trend, Shige is Honda's 'Rock-Star Exec' and 'the Jimmy Page of Japan's auto industry'.

We don't think Motor Trend was being gracious for the sake of it either. Sure, Shige has been working at Honda since the late '70s. But, it seems there's actually quite a bit of truth to the comparisons. For example, in his teens, Shige was a…

Honda Civic Si Gets Bigger Engine

The all new Honda Civic, unveiled at the 2011 New York International Auto Show, is back with its two-door Civic Si sports variant.

This high-performance Si borrows a muscle-car trick to boost its performance. Si implements a 2.4-liter four cylinder engine, which one could call a "2.4 a big block" as the hot rodders would say.

It's similar to what General Motors did over 45 years ago when it placed a full-sized car engine into its mid-size Pontiac Tempest. This began the GTO and 1960's muscle-car movement. Civic Si produces 201 horsepower, making it the most…
